Practice Direction - Books of Authorities
1. Providing list of jurisprudence
At the pre-hearing conference, the member will advise the parties that they must exchange through email a list or index of the decisions they intend to rely on at the hearing.
The list or index of cases should include a URL link to the decision, if available, and should indicate the relevant page or paragraph number(s) that will be cited.
2. Books of Authorities
When preparing their Book of Authorities, parties should:
- With respect to decisions issued by the FPSLREB and the PSST: Include only a copy of the cover page and a copy of the relevant page(s) and highlight the relevant passages.
- With respect to decisions issued by other tribunals or courts: Include a copy of the full decision and highlight the relevant passages.
To conserve resources, the FPSLREB encourages parties to print double-sided.
